How to write a narrative essay
If you are a student who is learning how to write a
narrative essay so here is a full description.
What actually is narrative writing?
Narrative writing is the writing in which we tell the story
of the past, meaning anything that we have done in the past, for example: an event of your
life, your memorable day, or some accident that occurred in your or someone else life.
The writing process of a narrative essay has three parts:
introduction, body paragraph, and conclusion
Introduction:
In the introduction, the first part is the hook part in which you attract
the attention of the reader, which means the starting point must be interesting so the
reader will enjoy reading your essay or anything else. The second is setting the scene means you have
to tell the reader on which topic you are writing this essay such as you should
tell the reader what are main characters of the story are, where it takes place, etc. Another thing is the thesis statement, in which you start your topic. This
is very important because except for this point, the essay is considered a non-complete
essay. This means until the end of the first paragraph you have to tell some story
about the topic
Body Paragraph:
The first point is “show don’t tell”, which means you have to write your essay as the reader is feeling your emotions, you have to force the reader to make illusions of the story, so the reader will take an interest in your narration. Secondly, you have to support some points as evidence of your story, you have to tell the story in such a way that it feels real. Thirdly passage of time means you have to tell with the first second and third points, step by step which event occurred first which second, and which third occurred
Conclusion:
In Conclusion, you have to tell the moral of the story what
you learned from this event, or how this event changed your life.
So these are the points that can make your narrative essay a professional one.
