What is a technology?
The branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and there interrelation with life, society, the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science and pure science.
Importance of technology
I) Technology has brought many changes in our lives, and the world will keep progressing in hand in hand. Those businesses that can provide digital services will be able to survive the fierce competition in the future .
II) to be the part of change, join hands with the latest technology changes and move on. By 2020, almost a third of the data will pass through the cloud and within five years there will be 50 billion smart connected devices in the world
Types of technologiesThere are a lot of types of technologies but some of the are below
I) material technology
Applications: Piezoelectric materials used in
micro-thrusters for satellites, self-healing coatings used to protect metal
products
II) Mechanical
technology
Applications: Cars manufactured by using mechanical robots, 3D
printers, Power plants
III) Medical
technology
Applications: Stethoscope, pacemakers, ventilators, computed
tomography (CT) scanners, surgical robots
IV) Electronics
technology
Applications: Computers, smart phones, digital camera, RADAR
(Radio Detection And Ranging), power suppliers, multimeters, interactive Sensors
V) Communication
technology
Applications: LAN (Local area network), videotext, teletext,
Internet, wireless information transfer, GPS
Advantages of technologies
Not everything is bad about our technology and electronics through. Just we have to remember to not let them take over our lives.
1 very convenient
2 learns to do things on your own
3 allow us to do things we never thought we could do4 save time
5 entertainments
6 save lives
7 create new things
Disadvantages of technologies
Every thing have two sides good and bad now it is time to talk about some disadvantages of technology
1 Atmospheric absorption
2 shadowing or signal deterioration
3 beam dispersion
4 interference from background light sources
6 only discrete spectrum available as light source and sensor
7 noise from interference of other source has to be filtered
What is Educational Technology?
