Muhammad Ali Jinnah (25 December 1876 to 11 September 1948)

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born in 25 December 1876. He was a barrister, politician and founder of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the member of All India Muslim league from 1913 to 14 August 1947. Muhammad Ali Jinnah is called in Pakistan by government and people as Quaid-E-Azam and father of the nation.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born and Karachi and took the degree of barrister from Lincoln’s inn in London, England. His initial part of barrister he works for Hindu Muslim unity. In 1916 he was also instrumental in drafting the Lucknow pact between All India Muslim League and All India Congress.


Legal and early political career

Barrister

In the age of 20 in Bombay he started to learning the Advocacy. At that time he was the first Muslim barrister of the city. He was used to speak English and this habit lasted all his life. His initial 3 years of advocacy was not special. His first step towards brighter career occurred when the Advocate General of Bombay John Molsorth McPhetson invited Muhammad Ali Jinnah to work from his chamber. In 1900 P.H Dastoor, a Bombay Presidency Magistrate left the post temporarily and Muhammad Ali Jinnah succeeded in achieving the interim position.  After six months to this position Jinnah was offered a permanent position on 1500 rupees per month. But Jinnah politely declined this offer by state that my plan is to earn 1500 rupees per day, at that time 1500 rupees were huge amount. And Jinnah did this and nevertheless as Governor-General of Pakistan he refused to take the large salary, accepted in 1 rupee per month.


The beginning of politics

In 1857 many Indians participated in war. After the war some Anglo-Indians as well as the Indians in Britain demanded for broad autonomy for Subcontinent. As a result of these demands in 1885 The All India Congress was formed. Muslims did not take much interest in Establishment of democratic institutions in British India because their population is one third while the population of Hindus were larger. In the initial meetings of congress the participate of Muslims were less mostly the rich people. Jinnah practiced the law until the early 1920’s, but he was also interested in politics. Muhammad Ali Jinnah attended the twentieth annual session of the Congress in Bombay in December 1904 and beginning his political life.



Iqbal influence on Jinnah

Muhammad Allama Iqbal  influence on Jinnah was more affected. As a result of the affect the Pakistan Paved the way for the establishment of. And this affect has been described by authors as “significant”, “powerful”, even “Undeniable”. It also say for the Allama Iqbal that he agreed the Jinnah for come to the Pakistan. Even though initially Iqbal and Jinnah had two different Possessor of ideas. About jinnah Iqbal thought that he is withdrawing from the crisis of their Muslim community in India. According to Salahuddin Ahmed the ideas of Iqbal changed in 1938 before his died. Iqbal gradually succeeded in changing Jinnah’s mind and Jinnah accepted his advice. Ahmed gave Reference of the letter which was send by Jinnah to Iqbal in which Jinnah Coincidence with the idea of Iqbal at the Muslims should have one separate country.
